Job Summary
AECOM's Honolulu office is seeking a Military Master Planner to support CJMT Projects in the CNMI region.

This role will be critical in translating requirements into facilities parameters to help AECOM develop infrastructure solutions.

As a staff specialist, candidates will serve as a technical specialist for the office in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles or processes for an assigned area of responsibility (i.e., subject matter, function, type of facility or industry).

Role will involve full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.

This is a part-time on call with variable hours depending on project and client needs.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or studies in Planning, Natural and/or Cultural Resource Management, Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • US Citizenship is Required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Retired Officer – 0-5 (Commander/Lt Col) or 0-6 (Captain/Colonel). Experience in developing training/training plans for MEU’s (Marine Expeditionary Units), preferably in the WESTPAC area.

Areas of experience in the following;

  • Ground Operations
  • Air Operations
  • Amphibious Operations
  • Familiarity with US Army TRADOC and USMC Training concepts for unit/combined arms training
  • Familiarity with live fire range and maneuver area safety requirements
  • Experience in the determination of facilities/infrastructure and space requirements for the training listed above. Experience/familiarity with the logistics concepts and requirements to support  Ground, Air and Amphibious above.
  • Familiarity with MARFORPAC organization and ability to converse with non-Marine Corps staff and personnel about the concepts above in easily understandable terms.
  • Ability to translate the above into terms that a military master planner/environmental planner can use for the development of master plans, Environmental Impact Studies, and other supporting studies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess training requirements and translate into facilities requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of competence in the area of technical report writing related to military operations. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
