Primary Purpose of Job:
- Apply consultative selling skills with ASB customers to determine potential product/service needs of the respective customer and provide ASB products/services as a solution for meeting client requirements. Guide and assist customers in appropriate product selection and provide direct assistance in establishing accounts for the customer. Provide customer with referral to other product experts, as necessary. Assist customers with account inquiries/issues; research and resolve matters for the customer that results in an outstanding customer experience.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Generate sales and deepen client relationship with ASB by providing Bank products and/or services in response to an identified customer need. Assist customers in the selection of the appropriate products and services; refer customer(s) to other appropriate Bank product experts to facilitate potential sales. Assist clients with opening new accounts & directly assist in resolving client issues/concerns.
- Perform related assignments within the respective Branch, as needed, including the performance of teller duties.
- Comply with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and suspicious activity monitoring and reporting. Report improper and suspicious activities to management and in a timely manner.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High School or Equivalent diploma
- One (1) year minimum experience in sales and/or customer service experience in a retail or financial services firm
- One (1) year minimum experience proficiency in the use of personal computers, calculators, and internet search tools
Required Skills or Training:
- Demonstrates excellent speaking and written communication skills
- Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to perform non-sales duties (in support of team success)
- Proven capability in developing effective relationships with customers and co-workers
