Sales Support Specialist
Honolulu, HI

Job Purpose

The Sales Support Specialist will be responsible to assist sales staff with ensuring the fulfillment of sales agreements through assisting customers, contract execution, product and services installment and other sales activities. 

Essential Functions

Manage the sales activities to ensure achievement of sales targets:

Interface with business customers within assigned account base (module) to further develop sales opportunities to closed sales and build long term relationships with customers.

Attain assigned sales commitment through: 

Protection of revenue base through renewal of network;

Maintenance services;

Generation of new revenues and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Provide customer service in all business relationships that fosters attention to detail; enhances the value of the customer and increases customer loyalty. 

Cultivate customer relationships and advocate customer needs with other HT products/services to develop new sales opportunities and “second” sales opportunities

Be innovative in seeking ways to recommend HT products and services to customers to meet their business requirements and close additional sales.

Develop/maintain general knowledge of all products/services.

Communicate regularly with Account Managers and customers to develop new opportunities.

Effectively and efficiently work with support resources in order to meet customer needs and requirements.

Ensure fulfillment of the SOW – sales handoff package.

Provide outstanding customer service.

Complete administrative responsibilities on time that includes Sales requests, customer-related functions and sales funnel management.

Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to resolve customer issues and minimize complaints.

Ensure accurate ordering and installation of network services and data

Develop/maintain expertise on process flows and system knowledge as they become available.

Two years of College or Technical School resulting in an Associate’s Degree or equivalent


Two (2)  or more years sales experience in the telecommunications industry or related experience.

Experience in “vertical” sales markets and sales needs (healthcare, finance, etc.).

Effectively communicate with staff at varying organizational levels.

Experience exemplifying written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet (Excel), word processing (Word) and other software applications.  


Special Knowledge/Skills

Consultative approach to the sales process from approach to close and follow-up of assigned accounts.

Experience in utilizing current technological means of communicating (i.e., Twitter, Facebook, etc,)

Planning for account penetration within assigned territory and account base.

Personal effectiveness - participates on the team and achieves individual objectives.

Technical - continually growing in technical capability and increasing market and competitive intelligence.
