- Duties Summary
These positions are located in the Child Welfare Services Branch (CWSB) of the Department of Human Services and are responsible for providing supportive services to social service professionals through the performance of extensive fieldwork and outreach services.
The CWSB provides services for child protection, foster care, adoption, independent living skills, case management foster home recruitment and licensing and contracted support and treatment services to prevent and remedy abuse and neglect.
- Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants will be placed on the eligible register for ALL levels for which they are qualified.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Basic Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent; or experience which demonstrated the ability to read, comprehend and apply written directions, a high degree of verbal skill and the ability to make basic mathematical computations, including averaging.
Specialized Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of experience in providing supportive services to social workers, vocational rehabilitation specialists, public housing managers, or other professional workers in such programs as public welfare, family court, vocational rehabilitation, and public housing; e.g., performing clerical tasks in processing various documents, transporting clients and materials to and from various destinations, explaining to clients or tenants the services available, assisting in overseeing group activities such as bowling and swimming.
Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements, will apply.
Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
