Supply Technician This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Shall be proficient performing all operator, data entry, and retrieval functions. Transmits and receives data via disk, modem, and other electronic means. Extracts data, formulates and interprets management reports, creates archives, backups, and data saves in support of deployments and detachment operations. Performs a wide range of administrative and financial duties within the Material Control Division such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing. Performs tool room management IAW Tool Control Program (acting as Tool Control Program Coordinator), Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program, and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) Program Coordinator. Performs Hazardous Material Control and Management Supervisor requirements.
1. Tool Room: The Contractor shall manage the Tool Room and ensure Tool Room services are performed IAW governing directives by ensuring all inspection standards are met. Tool room management includes:
Tool Room NAMP Programs: The Contractor shall be responsible for the Tool Control Program (acting as Tool Control Program Coordinator), Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program, Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) Program Coordinator, Support Equipment (SE) PMS Program and work center management IAW CNAF Instruction 4790.2.
Issue/Receive Tools, Equipment and Hazardous Material/Waste: The Contractor shall Order/Issue/Receive tools, inventory and maintain tools, and issue/receive/properly handle hazardous materials/waste per activity’s Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and local governing directives.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Repairs, periodic maintenance and calibration of all Support Equipment (SE), IMRL, and calibration-required tools shall be performed at the appropriate level of maintenance. Base support equipment I-level facilities and calibration laboratories are available to provide I-level and Depot level support as required. Repairs or periodic maintenance which is considered to be O-level in nature are required to be performed by the Contractor.
2. Material Control Services: The Contractor shall perform administrative duties in support of the units Material Control division. The Government will maintain overall responsibility and management of the Material Control Division to include execution of activity’s Operational Target (OPTAR) and Aviation Fleet Maintenance (AFM) funding requirements. Contractor’s support of the Material Control Division requirements includes:
a. Manage Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) Program requirements
b. Order and receive aircraft parts and material.
c. Expediting repairable and consumable material requisitions through the supply system and informing Maintenance Control on status changes
d. Track and reconcile daily fuel expenditures.
e. Prepare Transmittal Listings as required by TYCOM.
f. Perform monthly and end of fiscal year financial close-out of fuel and flight gear expenditures.
g. Produce monthly OPTAR report message to TYCOM.
h. Maintain pack-up and pre-expended bin inventories.
i. Maintain Flight Packet inventory.
j. Produce daily Aircraft Material Readiness Report.
k. Perform Hazardous Material Control and Management Supervisor functions.
l. Perform Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) Electronic Turn-In Document (ETID) for worn equipment.
3. Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Personnel Qualifications:
- SE Asset Manager Course (C-555-0026)
- Licensed Forklift Operator
Minimum (Basic) Personnel Qualifications:
- Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift
- Must be able to obtain Top Secret security clearance as required for position prior to hire
- Must be able to travel on detachment as required
