The Honolulu location of WATG is hiring an Intermediate Architectural Designer.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Intermediate Designer position is responsible for assisting the Senior Project Designer and Project Designer in designing small to mid-size projects. The Intermediate Designer assists in the development of the project design, production of presentation drawings, sketches and assists in solving design complexities. This individual must demonstrate creativity and good design judgment.
This position is expected to demonstrate professionalism, high standards and sound judgment. It is essential to develop your knowledge in architecture and to support a continuous learning environment. Team building and motivation are also key responsibilities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Assists with development and implementation of project design concepts
- Produces presentation drawings, sketches and renderings
- Supports follow-through of initial design through completion of construction
- Creates, develops and implements project design concepts
- Will perform other project and duties as assigned by the Manager.
This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in Architecture and 3 years experience in designing small to mid-size architectural projects including urban and resort hotels. An architecture license is preferred. Must be proficient in Revit. It is essential for the Intermediate Designer position to demonstrate creativity and knowledge of architectural project phases. This position requires the ability to use computer systems as an effective tool as well as proficiency in CAD, Revit and 3D modeling. Presentation skills are required. Travel may be required.
